Data	We take your privacy seriously. To keep the app running smoothly, we look at very basic, generic usage statistics through Google Analytics. This includes a random device ID (which is never linked to your name), the screens you open, and a general area based on your internet connection. We have completely turned off all advertising features, meaning your data is never used to target ads. Plus, all your brain exercise progress stays safely stored right on your own TV. The short version

Most brain-training apps are built for phones and then squeezed onto a television. BrainPlay TV was built the other way around. Every exercise is designed from the ground up for the big screen, using only the arrow keys and the OK button on your standard remote. The text is specifically sized to be easily read from across the room. Best of all, there are no timers and no penalties — you can stop whenever you like, and your progress is automatically saved.

Start your day with Today’s Challenge. Every morning, the app serves up a short mental routine: this month’s three free exercises, taking only about five minutes in total. A different bonus exercise also unlocks daily, ensuring there is always something new to discover. Our growing collection features popular classics like Mahjong, Mahjong Solitaire, Number Place, Minesweeper, Color Sand, Car Escape, Tile Puzzle, and Hidden Object Rooms. Looking for a more relaxed pace? Enjoy calmer, peaceful experiences like Goldfish and Garden Diary. New titles are added regularly and delivered straight to your TV automatically.

Background

Global Media Lab is a Tokyo-based studio specializing in television software for older adults. This same collection runs daily on cable TV set-top boxes across Japan, where it was meticulously refined against a live audience of older viewers. Every detail has been field-tested — from the exact size of the text to minimizing the number of button presses and ensuring nothing is lost if a user walks away mid-exercise. BrainPlay TV marks the studio’s first direct-to-consumer release for English-speaking markets.
